Follow Along Building Smarter Copy Trades with DBot and Zelfiguru

After weeks of testing, taking notes, and learning through trial and error, I’ve started building a more structured approach to copy trading on Solana. Thought it was the right time to begin documenting the journey here. what I’m using, how I’m filtering wallets, and what I’m working toward.

This is still evolving, but here’s how things are currently set up:

Trading Bot:

DBot Free version. Keeping it simple and easy to manage while testing.

Trading Tool:

Zelfiguru Premium to track wallet behavior

GMGN as an added layer for checking trades before copying

Trading Strategy:

• Only copy wallets with at least 10 trades and 50 percent or higher win rate

• Avoid wallets with short hold times or clear farming patterns

• Focus on trades with 15 to 30 minute hold time and consistent sizing

• Use Raydium-only filters if the wallet trades across platforms

• Review wallet performance weekly and rotate based on updated results

Goal:
  1. Build a shortlist of consistent wallets that perform in different market conditions
  2. Stay away from copying based on raw ROI alone
  3. Aim for steady 20 to 30 percent gains over a two week stretch
  4. Share ongoing results and lessons here to help others just starting out.
I’ll keep this thread updated as I learn more, including what’s working and what isn’t. If you’re also figuring out your own process, feel free to share what’s helped you. We all improve faster when we’re learning together.

Nice one are you using Solscan too? Or Rarely. What made you not want to Copy on ROI alone? That's good of you to help others out with your plan Penmro.

Thanks, Jonathan, appreciate that.
Yeah, I use solscan an occasionally, mainly when I want to double check a wallet’s behavior beyond what Zelfiguru shows. Especially if the trader is moving across platforms or making strange entries, Solscan can help clarify what’s actually going on. As for ROI, I learned pretty early that it can be super misleading. Some wallets show massive ROI from one lucky play, but then bleed consistently afterward. Without looking at how they tradesize, frequency, timing, it’s easy to get trapped. Trying to approach this with more context, even if it means slower growth. Definitely still learning though. open to ideas if you’ve found good patterns using Solscan.
